The surrounding area of Midlothian, located to the south of Edinburgh, is a beautifully rural landscape with rolling green hills and huge expanses of thriving woodland. Just a short car ride away lie the beautiful beaches of Gullane and Portobello, which make for the perfect day trip or excursion. Edinburgh city centre, steeped in history and offering an abundance of attractions including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace and Arthurs Seat, is only twelve miles away, and easily accessed by car or public transport.
